Verified Rescues' Mission is to create a happy and safe experience for the rescue animal - from pull to foster to adoption and post-adoption followup.
The magic of Verified Rescues is to find an agreeable balance of rules and flexibility for rescues to follow in order to get the maximum number of animals out of high kill shelters and into happy homes - whether rescue, foster or forever.
Verified Rescues is all about the animals - period. While not every rescue may agree with everything VR initiates, everyone will surely agree that the happiness and safety of each rescue animal is always our number one goal.
Our big plans to assist rescues in their goal of saving animals include:
- Home visit volunteer database that includes qualified people to do home visits for busy rescues
- Rescue rating system (similar to Angie's List) including volunteer, foster and forever family feedback
- County Animal Control's adoption of VR's quality rescue criteria
- Marketing programs to adopting familities to look on VRs site to find quality rescues based on their ratings and other criteria, such as their 501c3 standing, feedback and comments on the site and other evaluation tools.
- Verified Rescue marketing materials to promote the fact that you are Verifed
